Deviled eggs are a timeless appetizer, perfect for holidays, potlucks, and backyard get-togethers. We’re sharing three delicious versions.
Classic Mayo – Rich, creamy, and nostalgic. This is the deviled egg you know and love, perfect for traditionalists who crave that familiar flavor.
Greek Yogurt – A lighter take with a tangy twist. Same creamy texture, but with more protein!
Avocado – Creamy, bold, and full of good fats for a fresh and flavorful bite with a healthy boost.
Papa Joe's Deviled Eggs (Three Ways)
Ingredients:
12 hard-boiled eggs
2 tsp of Brown Dijon mustard
1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt of mayonnaise OR replace with 1/2 an avocado
4 pieces of thick-cut applewood smoked bacon (fried, drained, and crumbled)
Creamy Wasabi (if you want an extra kick)
1/4 - 1/2 tsp Papa Joe's Salt - Jamaican recommended!
Cut eggs in half length-wise using a sharp knife so the egg whites stay clean. Be sure to wipe the knife between cuts. Remove yolks and place in a bowl. Mash the yolks with your choice of yogurt, mayo, or avocado. Stir in the mustard and a bit of Wasabi, most of the cooked bacon, and Papa Joe's Salt.
Ingredient measurements are standard and can be altered as you like.
Fill egg whites with the yolk mixture using a spoon or a piping bag. Sprinkle egg whites evenly with Paprika and Papa Joe's Jamaican Salt. Top with remaining bacon and refrigerate. Serve cold!
